As we continue our community response efforts, it's important to recognize that respiratory viruses—including COVID-19, flu, and respiratory syntactical virus (RSV)—pose significant health risks each year, resulting in millions of illnesses and thousands of hospitalizations and deaths across the United States. Moving beyond the exclusive focus on the COVID-19 pandemic, our operational strategies now address a broader spectrum of respiratory viruses.

Current Protocols for Respiratory Viruses at Alamo Colleges DistrictYou are no longer required to report a COVID-19 diagnosis through the internal case tracking form or to your campus risk coordinator. Guidance for Symptomatic Individuals
If you develop symptoms or test positive for any respiratory virus, immediately inform your supervisor or instructor and follow recommended health measures similar to handling other common illnesses.
