NLC recognized by the NSA as the 圣安东尼奥 area’s newest Center of Academic Excellence in 网络防御 Education

东北湖景学院 is proud to announce that its 网络防御 program has been recognized by the National Security Agency (NSA) as the area’s newest Center of Academic Excellence in 网络防御 Education. 

In 2019, 东北湖景学院 (NLC) began re-designing the existing cybersecurity curriculum within Alamo 社区 大学. The 网络防御 degree created a technical skill pathway from Network Operations Specialist to 网络防御 Infrastructure Specialist to 网络防御 Analyst, 事件反应者, 法医分析员. 课程中包含150多个实践项目, developing technical skills that allow 东北湖景学院 students to excel in national cyber competitions, 网络劳动力, 实习, 和大学. 去年, 经过广泛的审查, the NSA recognized the redesigned curriculum as a Program of Excellence in the US.

After reviewing the integration of our 网络防御 program and instructional methods into other IT programs offered at 澳门新葡京博彩 and into non-technical programs like Criminal Justice studies, 东北湖景学院 has been recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in 网络防御 by the NSA.

When asked about the differences between 澳门新葡京博彩’s 网络防御 and other cybersecurity programs, 网络防御教授奇普·索恩斯伯格回答道, “NLC programs lean heavily into developing technical skill competency over simple book study. Our students demonstrate their technical skills by outperforming graduates of other programs from across the country.”
